The SVCUG Mailing list is a great way to stay connected between SVCUG meetings and a great place to post network related
questions. Anyone that's been on the list for a while knows that this list is a great place to solve problems, seek lab partners,

SVCUG Mailing List Guidelines

The SVCUG Mailing List is an unmoderated communication mechanism. In order to keep discussions concise, on topic
and maintain a degree of order, we ask that members adhere to the following guidelines when posting messages to the list.

Personal Attacks

Personal attacks are NOT tolerated.
We understand that some discussions can become heated due to various reasons; while this is not something we see on
the SVCUG mailing list, it is still important to identify the SVCUG's position on this matter. Respect for everyone on the list
is a condition for subscription.

DO's

  • Do think carefully before clicking on 'send'
  • Do make sure the topic is related to networking
  • Do be clear and brief (this increases the chances of getting an answer)
  • Do remember that we are a fun list

DONT's

  • Do not be disrespectful
  • Do not write in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS (unless you are mad ... while staying respectful)
  • Do not send Flame emails
  • Do not spam the list
  • Do not forward chain letters
  • Do not send huge (5MB or larger) attachments (see below)
  • Do not attack anyone or anyone's idea (however, intellectual arguements are certainly welcome)

Rather than sending HUGE email attachments, use a free file storage solution and send links instead.
Using your favorite browser, type "free file storage" in the search link and explore all the options.
